Free Informational Services: The association keeps members in touch with each other through events and programs and community discussions on emerging issues relevant to our community. You also remain informed about the various activities in the city which saves your time. 

Networking: You have many opportunities to network with other community members and professionals, building your connections, sharing ideas, best practices and solutions to enhance your profession, find opportunities for career enhancement, etc. Networking events range from information sessions, workshops and seminars to community meetings. 

Discounts on Educational Offerings: You receive reduced registration fees at many CKWA sponsored continuing education events.

Leadership Opportunities: You are provided opportunities to learn and practice leadership and meeting management skills that you may need for professional growth or self-promotion. Opportunities are available on the Board, committees and special projects.

Recognition: You can be recognized or can recognize your colleagues for their achievements in community development and other areas. 

Empowerment: You are part of a larger community. You are empowered to get involved in issues that affect your personal and professional communities and your quality of life.


Membership Application Process:

  • Fill out the application form at the link (above), answer a few questions and tell us a little about yourself, and pay a non-refundable $30 application fee. 

  • If you don’t know anyone in the club, or are new to the community, we will either call or email you to get to know you, and to let you get to know one of our members.

  • The Membership coordinator checks your information and forwards a recommendation to the Board of Directors.

  • After review and approval, the Membership coordinator will send you registration instructions and information about the association. This can be accomplished in a day or two, though may take up to a week, depending on the workload.
