Wellness Webinar Series 2021

On March 22, 2021 City Council approved Calgary’s Mental Health and Addiction Strategy, as well as the Investment Framework

To support the implementation of the Strategy, The City of Calgary launched two streams, each with its own eligibility criteria:

  • Connect the Dots! to enhance existing programs and services
  • Change Can’t Wait! to test innovative ideas through fast pilot process

The aim of Change Can’t Wait! funding is to test innovative ideas that bring change at the individual, family, community, and policy or system levels to improve the mental health and addictions-related issues affecting Calgarians.

With the support of the City of Calgary, Calgary Korean Women’s Association will be offering “Wellness Webinar Series: Promoting a Healthy Community”.

The project will include 20 webinars on topics to support the community in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and equip them with lasting healthy habits, knowledge, and skills to better take care of themselves and their families. Discussion topics are geared toward the needs of the community identified through several surveys conducted by the CKWA, focusing on well-being, such as physical activity, healthy eating, behavior modification, and stress management.
