It’s critical to recognize that abuse is a means of gaining and maintaining power and control over another person. Sadly, it often reflects an imbalance of power between the victim and the abuser.

Speaker Bio:

Farzana Imran is a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from UofC and a Master’s degree in the process. Her first Master’s degree is in English language and literature.

Farzana has been working with seniors for over five years and plans to continue working with this demographic in the future.
