In this session, you will learn about a few different styles of meditation. You will be guided through these methods to experience the benefits of meditation first-hand with some practice at the session.

We will also talk about the neuroscience behind what is going on in your brain when you meditate. Come offer yourself some time to slow down and tune in!

SPEAKER PROFILE

Mina Khan-Lee, M.A., is a certified yoga and meditation teacher and has been actively teaching in Calgary for the past 20 years. She is passionate about mindfulness and the area of Social Emotional Learning and how contemplative practices can be used for the future well-being of our youth.

Mina is an educator of youth, a yoga and mindfulness teacher, and a mother of two children. Mina currently teaches at a bilingual Spanish school. She has facilitated yoga and mindfulness programs in schools for over 15 years.

She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with hopes of combining her knowledge of Eastern philosophy with Western psychology in the realm of mental wellness.
